Walking in the Light

This powerful message centers on Mark chapter 1 and the prophetic fulfillment found in Isaiah 9—the promise that people walking in darkness would see a great light. We're confronted with a challenging question: why would we ever want to hide anything from the light of Christ? The sermon walks us through Jesus' arrival after centuries of prophetic silence, His call to repentance, and His demonstration of absolute authority over demons and disease. What strikes at the heart is this truth: we cannot save anyone, we cannot reach our communities through our own strength, but Christ in us can do immeasurably more than we imagine. The leper's approach to Jesus becomes our model—coming unclean, unqualified, yet believing that if He is willing, He can make us clean. Jesus' response remains the same today: 'I am willing.' The central call is clear: repent and believe in the gospel. Not just once at salvation, but continually walking in the light, refusing to hide our struggles, our sins, or our weaknesses. We're reminded that walking in the light isn't about exposure to shame—it's about stepping into the only place where true freedom, forgiveness, and purpose exist. The church's greatest offering to a broken world isn't programs or performances, but Jesus Himself.
