Getting Closer to Jesus

There are several things that can keep a distance between us and Jesus. 1. Trying to do the "right" things. When we work hard to focus on our accomplishments for Him, but this can be a barrier because it's not focused on our love for Jesus and for others. Don't let the lack of your ministry being accomplished slow you down from seeking Jesus. A ministry is too much of a weight to bear; Jesus is not.

We can focus on how many people got saved this week, how many minutes we have read our Bibles, how well we have prayed. But Christ is always with you. And we still may feel like we lack the fellowship with Him. But you are never forlorn and forsaken. 

But what does Jesus say? In John 14, He says that He is preparing a mansion for us, not because we earned it, but because of His grace.
